Hello, my name is Matthew Watson, and I’m a junior technician at CoreHaus. I recently completed my Level Three Apprenticeship in Manufacturing Engineering, and I’m proud to work for a business that can mould apprentices to fit the roles they aspire to. CoreHaus has developed strong relationships with schools, colleges, and training providers, demonstrating our commitment to supporting young people in the local area.
Our leadership team comprises seasoned professionals from construction, manufacturing, and housebuilding, driving sustainable growth and operational excellence.
CoreHaus is part owned by Fusion 21 which provide procurement services and technical expertise in the built environment. Homes by Carlton, an award-winning housebuilder in the North East of England are also a part owner of CoreHaus.
Utilising the experience of these partnerships and working closely with our supply chain, we design, manufacture, and deliver high quality, sustainable homes across a mix of tenures.

John is a management scientist, running his consulting practice since 1991, working with a wide range of clients internationally across the private, public and third sectors. His experience covers social housing, social care, education and healthcare as well as infrastructure, utilities, engineering, manufacturing, transport and logistics.
John holds a PhD in Management Systems and Sciences and, in addition to his non-executive role with Fusion21 is Board Chair of Rise Mutual, Visiting Professor in the Department of Science, Technology, Engineering and Public Policy at University College London and in the Centre for Information Management at Loughborough University and President of the Cybernetics Society.
He is the author of three books on management, ‘Quality’ (4th Edition, Routledge, 2017), ‘The Intelligent Organisation’ (2 nd Edition, Routledge, 2020), ‘The Intelligent Nation’ (Routledge, 2021) and writes and presents extensively to a wide range of audiences on organisational effectiveness. John has undertaken research projects for the Department of Business, Innovation and Skills, Department for Transport, DeFRA and HM Treasury in relation to infrastructure investment and adaptation to climate change.
Dave is responsible for the overall strategic management and future direction of Fusion21. He is instrumental in shaping the vision for the organisation, and is a champion for innovation, collaboration, and sustainability.
Originally from a background in Building Surveying, Dave has been with Fusion21 since its inception and led on the design of the Fusion21 procurement model. Acting as a strategic change agent, innovator, and champion of ethical and social business he has ensured strong growth for the organisation which has procured over £1.35 Billion in contracts to date and has grown to national coverage with over 650 members.
A strong networker with high level relationships within the social housing and social enterprise sectors at local, regional, and national levels, Dave has considerable non-executive experience in commercial, social enterprise, CVS, and community interest companies.
His achievements to date saw him named as a finalist in Ernst & Young “Entrepreneur of the Year” 2013 and “Great British Entrepreneur” in 2014; he is also a member of the E3M Group – a national group of leading social enterprise Chief Executives seeking to support the growth and influence of social enterprise across the UK. He is also a Trustee of One Knowsley – a local voluntary sector infrastructure organisation.
Craig has a wealth of experience supporting businesses and large-scale development projects. He acts as a strategic adviser, mentor, Non-Exec, and investor to a range of start-ups, early stage, and established businesses, helping to raise finance and support growth.
His experience spans several sectors including technology, alternative finance, property, housing, regeneration, and management consultancy and includes raising seed / growth capital for high growth businesses and project finance for regeneration / real estate projects.
Craig is an approved person with the Financial Conduct Authority (CF1 / CF10/ CF30). He holds an MBA (Enterprise) and is Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute and brings an entrepreneurial approach to business, strategy, finance, growth, and development.
Norm has held senior positions in start-up’s, SME’s, and PLC’s operating across a variety of sectors including finance, telecoms, infrastructure, and property.
Throughout his career, Norman has been involved in raising finance to support business growth and large-scale infrastructure projects. His experience includes raising seed capital for start-ups, securing expansion capital (£60M) for a Netherlands based Internet Service Provider (“ISP”) and development capital for infrastructure projects. At Bell CM he was responsible for developing the strategic growth plan and securing investment for new business opportunities including mergers and acquisitions.
Norm is an Approved Person with the Financial Conduct Authority (CF1 / CF3 / CF11 / CF30). He holds the RICS Post Graduate Diploma in Project Management, he studied his MBA at Bradford and completed the Oxford Private Equity Programme, Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.
Dan is a senior operations manager with a strong technical background in construction.
He has a wealth of experience in design & design coordination, operations, product development, production management and operations.
Dan has been directly responsible for large design, production and install teams based in multiple locations, working on a variety of building and product types.
He is a proven and effective leader with the ability to deliver all production requirements whilst ensuring all QCD targets are consistently achieved. creating a safe working, positive culture is his specialism.
Chris has worked predominantly within the construction industry starting by completing 2 apprenticeships in decorating and plastering. As a contractor and business owner Chris has worked with many national and regional house builders including commercial large-scale builds.
Working with customers, clients and investors, led Chris into a career in engineering and manufacturing environments. Initially employed as a Quality inspector, Chris progressed to lead a team in coatings and paint inspection for an international rail manufacturer.
With over 25 years of experience in the construction sector, Shane has extensive practice and knowledge in leading large scale projects, from public buildings and commercial complexes to residential and social housing developments.
He has specialist skills in leadership and change management and has delivered a wide range of projects on time and to budget.
